Pure Nickel Wires
- Pure nickel(NW2200/Ni99.0/Nickel 200/UNS N02200/W.Nr. 2.4060/2.4066 and NW2201/Ni99.0-LC/Nickel 201/UNS N02201/W.Nr. 2.4061/2.4068) is a high-purity metal material (typically ≥99% nickel content) with excellent comprehensive properties and is widely used in multiple industrial fields. Its main features and performance are as follows:
- • Appearance and texture: Pure nickel is a silvery-white metal with a metallic luster, with a tough texture and good ductility, and can be drawn into filaments or pressed into thin sheets.
- • Density and melting point: With a density of about 8.9g/cm³ and a melting point of up to 1455°C, it has excellent high-temperature resistance.
- • Magnetism: It has ferromagnetism at room temperature, and the magnetism will be enhanced at low temperature, and the magnetism will disappear when heated to 358°C.
- • Corrosion resistance: extremely stable in atmosphere, fresh water and some alkaline solutions, not easy to be corroded; However, in acidic environments, especially with sulfur, corrosion will accelerate.
- • Electrical and thermal conductivity: Excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, second only to a few metals such as copper and silver, and is often used in conductive components in the field of electronics and electrical applications.
- • Mechanical properties: Moderate strength and hardness, which can be significantly improved through cold working while maintaining good plasticity.
- • Catalytic performance: It has a catalytic effect on many chemical reactions, such as hydrogenation and dehydrogenation reactions, and can effectively speed up the reaction rate.
- • Ease of processing: It can carry out a variety of cold and hot processing processes such as forging, rolling, drawing, and stamping, and can be processed into various complex shape parts. The higher the purity (such as N6 grade), the lower the strength but better corrosion resistance; N4 grade focuses on high strength.
-
• Weldability: Good welding performance and can be welded with itself or other metals through common welding methods (such as arc welding, gas welding, etc.).

- Typical application fields:
- • Electronic and electrical field: Manufacture battery electrodes (such as nickel-metal hydride batteries), precision resistors, and electronic connectors, using their excellent conductivity to stably transmit current.
- • Chemical metallurgy: making reactor liners, pipelines, valves, resisting corrosive media such as acid and alkali; As a catalyst carrier, it improves the efficiency of chemical reactions.
- • Machinery manufacturing: produce wear-resistant parts of steam turbine blades and molds, and cope with complex working conditions with their high strength and heat resistance; It can also be used as a coating material to enhance the wear and corrosion resistance of parts.
- • Military aviation field: used in the manufacture of aero engine components and radar antennas to maintain stable component performance in high-temperature and high-load environments.
