Pure Nickel Wires

Pure Nickel wire

Features:
Nickel 200 (UNS N02200/W.Nr. 2.4060 and 2.4066) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201/W.Nr. 2.4061 and 2.4068) wires are drawn from nickel metal with a purity of 99.0% or higher. It has excellent corrosion resistance, especially in strong alkaline environments(e.g., concentrated NaOH), where it forms a protective film; it’s also very stable in fresh water, seawater, and neutral media. Pure nickel wire can handle high temperatures really well, with a melting point of around 1455°C, and it keeps good strength and creep resistance even when hot, so it doesn’t soften easily. Compared to other corrosion-resistant alloys, pure nickel has lower electrical resistivity and good thermal conductivity, making it great for heating elements and conductive wires. It’s also pretty ductile and malleable, so you can draw, bend, or weld it when it’s hot or cold, and it’s easy to make into fine wire.
Based on the aforementioned characteristics, pure nickel wire can resist the corrosion of concentrated alkaline solutions for extended periods without brittle fracture or breakage in chlor-alkali industries, battery manufacturing, and chemical equipment. With its high melting point and excellent mechanical strength at elevated temperatures, it is also highly suitable for vacuum electronic devices, bulb conductors, heating elements and other components requiring long-term operation in high-temperature environments. Nickel fine wires serve as an ideal choice for precision electronic connections, sensors, and heat-resistant structural components with complex shapes.
Advantages:
  • Pure nickel wire has excellent resistance to strong alkaline corrosion.
  • Pure nickel wire has excellent high-temperature stability and strength.
  • Pure nickel wire has excellent overall electrical performance and workability.
